Paintings
In 2015/16, I participated in shamanic journeying and dream work classes and created these paintings following those explorations. They seem reminiscent of the dream-time and speak of hidden dimensions. Perhaps they serve to remind us of our mystical nature and the possibilities that exist when we allow ourselves to look beyond our 'ordinary' reality!

Apr 2016 mixed media on canvas 24 x 36 in Poem on 'Painted Poetry' page. ---'Abracadabra' is an incantation that in days of old was believed to heal. The letters were inscribed on an amulet, the word disappearing in a descending triangle. As you spoke the diminishing word it was believed that the illness would vanish along with the letters.

The 'INKspirations'
In 2016 I became intrigued with Klecksography, the 19th century art of making images from inkblots. I experimented with the technique by dropping acrylic ink onto watercolour art-board. Although my inkblots were not mirror-images like the original Klecksographs, I watched with delight as faces and figures began to appear as the ink dried. Using pen and ink, I developed the images that emerged and called these whimsical creations, the 'INKspirations'.

There are many paths that lead to the heart Sometimes we don't even know where they start But wherever they wind there are things we do know Like the adage we've heard that you reap what you sow.

I think I must have lived among them for a million moons. I lived again with them this time. Alas, I had to leave them much too soon.
